Chicago Booth Volunteering

On November 5, 2009, Rattan Khosa was invited by Dean Ted Snyder to speak to a group of donors.  Also in attendance were Chicago Booth MBA students who had received scholarships.  The reception was held at the Harper Center and the topic was “Why I Donate to Booth?”

Mr. Khosa shared his experience of coming to the United States with only $8.00 and starting AMSYSCO, Inc. in the basement of his house without outside financing.  The impact of his education from University of Chicago (MBA) and University of Maryland (Masters Structural Engineering) along with help from others shaped “his triangle of difference” which contribute to his success.

“I started with donations of $100/year to the Booth School and then made contributions for several students scholarships.  It was befitting to select Booth as the way to make a difference in the lives of others.”

His son, Neel Khosa, also a fellow Chicago Booth alum, recently made a donation to the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship at Chicago Booth
